The student stands at the table of toys, the teacher approaches with the tube, says "Car", and slides a toy car down the tube onto the table. On screen text says, "This process is repeated". The student continues to play with the cars. The teacher approaches again, rolls the car down the tube onto the table, and the on screen text says,"This process is repeated until she begins to approach the tube". The teacher approaches again, slides the car down the tube, and the student catches the car. Then the teacher points the tube toward the student and the student slides the car down the tube and smiles. On screen text says, "Through continued pairing the tube becomes valuable". The teacher then faces the tube toward the student on the table and hands her the car; the student puts the car down the tube and giggles. The teacher takes the tube off the table and the student reaches for the tube and the teacher says, "Tube". The student accepts the tube and puts the car down the tube. On screen text says, "Now the student will reach for the tube". The student reaches for the tube again and repeats.

On screen text says, "The tube is now a reinforcer by itself". The student stands at the table and plays with the tube, rolling it on the table and twirling it in her hands.
