This video illustrates the pairing process with use of gradual enticement. Woman one says, "Let's swing" and Woman two hands her an end of a blanket. Both women demonstrate to the child sitting on the floor in front of them how the blanket can be used as a swing. On screen text says, "For some students and events...gradual enticement will help establish the event as a reinforcer". Woman one suggests that they put the baby on the swing and swing the baby. The women place the baby on the blanket and swing the baby with the blanket. Then Woman one removes the doll from the swing and asks the child, "Do you want to put the baby on the swing?". The child places the doll on the blanket and the women swing the doll. Woman one says, "Aw, now it's the baby's turn, the baby is swinging". The women stop swinging the baby and Woman one says, "Sit over here with the baby" and the child sits next to the doll on the blanket. The women pick up each end of the blanket and swing the doll and the child slowly. They put the blanket down, then pick it up again to swing the doll and child again, this time it is higher and faster, while repeating, "Swing, yay".
