Title slide reads "Imitation used to prompt a mand". Video begins with a teacher and a student sitting at a table facing each other. The teacher says "Do this" and takes two fingers, taps them on the top of her other hand and makes a jumping motion with her fingers. She then takes the students hands and imitates the movement. On screen text reads "Sign taught through imitation...". The teacher repeats the hand movement saying "Do this" and the student imitates her. Again the teacher repeats her hand movements saying "Do this. Fall" and the student imitates her. On screen text reads "imitation used to prompt mand...". The teacher grabs a toy, shows it to the student, and places the toy on the table. She then repeats hand movement saying "Do this. Fall". The teacher then picks up the toy and says "Fall". On screen text reads "transfer to mand with gradual fade of imitative prompt. The teacher puts up her hands ready to imitate her previous movement, but waits for the student to do it first before saying "Fall" and picking up the toy and playing with it. She then just holds the toy in front of the student. The student makes the appropriate hand motion and the teacher says "Fall" again and begins playing with the toy saying "Whao, look at him fall".
